CCJ simplifies standards for exploration of ornamental and cladding rocks

According to the website of the House of Representatives, the Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Commission approved a proposal that simplifies the norms for exploration of ornamental and cladding rocks, such as Granite, marble, slate and calcium carbonate and magnesium used in industry.

Under the rules in force, this type of mineral extraction is subject to authorization and concession regimes, as well as licensing. The proposal opens the possibility of exploration of these rocks only with licensing.

The text also extends the licensing for clay of all types of industry, and not only for the manufacture or red ceramics, as currently envisaged in Law 6,567 / 78, which deals with the regime of exploration and exploitation of rocks and minerals.
Because it was approved with an amendment, the bill will be returned for review by the Senate.

On the website of the Chamber of Deputies, you can find the full and complete news of proposal 5751/2016.
